This write up is just a brief description of what we have done on this car from beginning to end. We started project with the removal of the old Volvo engine and removed all parts not needed for V8. We removed front bumper and modified it for the fitting of larger inner cooler. Set engine and trans in bay to check for clearance. Removed engine to modify trans tunnel. Cut/formed/seem sealed/painted the trans tunnel to finished product. Installed engine/trans again & leveled it to start on mounts. Fabricated trans mount first & then engine mounts. Sent drive shaft parts out for modifying. Fabricated shift linkage for trans. Mounted GM engine ECU. Identified and hooked all wiring for ECU, TCU and warning lights. Integrating both Volvo and Chevy wiring. Installed cooling system & all hoses, radiator, coolant res. etc. Hooked up trans cooler hoses. Installed modified drive shaft. Fabricated exhaust from mandrill bend pipe. Mounted turbo, waste gate, muffler and all else needed to complete exhaust. Installed oil supply hosing and oil sump pump and hosing. Fabricated all parts needed to complete this part of the turbo oil system. Modified passenger side frame rail to accept 2 inch boost tube which puts boost in engine bay. Installed Inner cooler and custom fitted all piping and hoses. Installed new injectors and sent ECU to be flashed. Removed and modified inst cluster by installing a after market tach and temp gauge and mood lights. Installed vehicle on DYNO for tuning. We completed tuning after installing a 350 cid MAF sensor and two new O2 sensors.
